          modern life kills our culture

Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb.
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the World, the Master and the Creator of everything in the Universe, the Destroyer of all oppressors and the Hope of the oppressed, for enabling us to meet together in this place . Peace and salutation be upon to the noble Prophet of Islam, Muhammad S.A.W. and his household, his companions and his faithful followers who strive in Islam. I express my gratitude from the bottom of my deepest hearth to the master of ceremony for giving me valuable chance so that I can speak in front of you all.
Indonesia is the biggest archipelago country in the world where thousands of cultures and traditions are easily found. It is one reason which  make foreigners come over us enjoying what people say ‘amazing culture of Indonesia’. Traditional dances, songs, weapons were what to make it more than just amazing a couple of years ago. But it has changed to be otherwise. A number of those cultures and traditions are claimed by other countries’. And now, we can just see them fade away. Neither adults nor youths really care about it. They are just going to follow the modern life where things are much more pleasant than how our culture provides us. We would regret for losing many chances of being famous due to our own traditions If we turned back to look at these years passed.
It’s even shame on us to know that kids and youths are now singing other countries’ songs. When they hear ‘umpama sliramu sekar’ they’re going to say ‘hey what kind of song is that! Crap!’, but when they hear ‘baby baby baby ohhh’ they’re going to say ‘wow what amazing song!’ and when they hear ‘chal chaiya chaiya’ they’re going to say ‘wow that’s so sweet!’ , well I am wondering what is happening nowadays? Does anyone want to lose in touch with their own tradition? For what? Don’t they realize that many people from many countries in the world visit Indonesia only to know what we have? Don’t they want to see that many of them are even able to speak Java fluently?  Here the way we are, why don’t we make a competition of Javanese language? I bet that many youths are not able to speak in it. so what are we proud of learning other cultures? So please love our culture more than how you love other cultures.
I think that’s all my speech. I hope it can be able to make you realize that we are rich of culture and tradition. Finally, it’s time to say good bye. Thank you for paying attention on my speech and I am sorry for making mistakes.
Wasalamualaikum Wr. Wb.
